It suddenly occurred to me that the American right wing now
regards everything as slavery —
income taxes, grazing fees, zoning regulations, laws forbidding them to murder
unarmed people, food stamps, food and drug regulations, parking meters, etc. —
except ACTUAL slavery, the whip-your-back-to-the-bone, sell-your-kids kind.
They wonder if minorities wouldn't be better off with it.
