Star Date 2112012. Watching Captain Kirk's derring-do in a "Star Trek" episode DVRed on a wide-screen TV from one of a couple of hundred cable television channels and amplified to blood-and-thunderousness by a technologically advanced room sound system.
Fascinating.
The future appears to have arrived at some point when I wasn't looking.
