Saving Up Sunshine

The Trickster by Carmine Infantino, 1960

So abundant then, some of the numinous sunshine that pervaded a secure early childhood soaked deep into cheap 1950s newsprint and coursed through the lines drawn by Carmine Infantino, Gil Kane, Joe Kubert, Wayne Boring, Kurt Schaffenberger, Steve Ditko and Jack Kirby.
It is still there, still glowing faintly, and it still warms me.

  1. How the combined superpowers of the Justice League were outclassed by a human hero who used only his rational intelligence. One of the best DC Comics stories of the 1960s, and a great message for kids. http://thegoldenagesite.blogspot.com/2013/01/blog-post_9.html
