I am no longer concerned about the future. I have calculated that, given the exponential daily increase in both American self-absorption, narcissistic technology and general stupidity, the odds that I will be snuffed out like a pilot light by some 20-year-old driver who is text-messaging in traffic are now considerably better than even money.
